Human Kindness for Carolinian Victims of Hurricane Florence

Music Video Honoring Hurricane Victims and Heroes; Set to Larry Caldwell's Soulful Performance of Randy Newman's "I think It's Going To Rain Today"

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, September 24, 2018 / -- In September 2017, singer Larry Caldwell and his production partners, Jon Gilutin and Troi GeBorde, created a music video titled: "Human Kindness: Heroes Helping Victims of Houston Hurricane Harvey." Set to Caldwell’s soulful performance of Randy Newman’s “I Think It’s Going to Rain Today,” the video honors the victims and heroes of Houston Hurricane Harvey. The video shows everyday people of all races and economic background grappling with catastrophic flooding and other disruptions from Hurricane Harvey. Scenes of scared dogs and cats caught in the deluge are also heartbreaking. And scenes of heroes, both lay and professional, selflessly rushing in to help people in need, and their pets, is truly inspriing. Since "Human Kindness" was posted on Youtube, in September 2017, over 53,500 people have watched it.

Tragically, one year later, Carolinians are battling their own flooding nightmare from Hurricane Florence. And “Human Kindness” remains as poignant and relevant as ever.

Said Larry Caldwell, “we originally produced the 'Human Kindness' video to honor the victims of Houston Hurricane Harvey, and the heroes who came to their rescue. I never thought we’d be seeing another catastrophic flooding event of this scale so quickly.”

Caldwell added, we hope our video can help motivate people to show some “human kindness” to the victims of Hurricane Florence, just like they did for the victims of the hurricanes last year."

“Human Kindness” has information on how people can contribute to charities that are helping Hurricane Florence victims, such as the Red Cross, Save the Children, and The Humane Society.
