Jubilant French fans flooded Piccadilly Circus after their team’s resounding victory in the World Cup final.
Spectacular images show supporters climbing on the iconic Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain after Les Blues ran out 4-2 winners over Croatia in a thrilling match on Sunday afternoon.
Thousands of delighted fans packed the central London square waving the Tricolour, chanting and setting off flares.
One person wrote on Twitter: "First France wins, then they take Piccadilly Circus."
"Piccadilly Circus goes mad for Les Blues," added another.
Another person said: "Craziness in Piccadilly Circus. Champions du monde."
At one point a large swathe of the area was closed entirely to traffic as the crowd of celebrating fans swelled.

The incredible scenes came as a million people filled the Champs-Elysees in Paris to celebrate France lifting the famous trophy for the second time.
The vast crowd gathered in the French capital after the final whistle, with fans singing the Marseillaise and letting off firecrackers.
Earlier a massive 140 square metre-television screen was installed at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, with several others arranged around a vast green space in the centre of the city.
The French completed their impressive win with goals from Antoine Griezman, Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba and an own goal from Mario Mandzukic.
