HAMILTON — As the Skagit River continued to rise Thursday, the town of Hamilton sent out a reverse 911 alert to residents to be prepared to evacuate.
Mayor Joan Cromley said the alert was sent out as a precaution should the river continue to rise and cause severe flooding.
